Dyno Testing Facility
Our state-of-the-art dynamometer facility is fully equipped to test diesel engines ranging from 20 HP to 1,000 HP and up to 3,000 Nm of torque. We accommodate both air- and liquid-cooled engines operating at speeds of up to 3,000 RPM.
We offer a range of dyno testing services tailored to suit various engine applications and customer requirements:
- Running-In / Bedding-In Procedures - Customised run-in procedures to suit different engine types and power specifications, ensuring proper sealing of ring/liner surfaces for optimal performance and reduced oil consumption.
- Power Testing - Ideal for verifying the performance of used engines following machine rebuilds. This helps confirm engine health or identify possible power-related issues.
- Fault Diagnosis- Engine dyno testing is used as a tool to assist in diagnosing engine-related problems in a controlled environment.
- Specialised Testing - Testing can be tailored to specific customer requirements, such as evaluating fuel additives, monitoring exhaust emissions, or conducting endurance testing.
Parameters Monitored During Dyno Testing:
- Exhaust gas temperature
- Cylinder head temperature
- Engine Torque (Nm)
- Crankcase pressure/breathing inspection
- Oil temperature
- Ambient temperature
- End Float
- General visual condition
- Coolant temperature
- Engine speed ( RPM)
- Visual inspection of oil and water leaks
- Oil pressure
- Engine power ( kW )
- Exhaust Smoke inspection
At D Tech, we believe that every rebuilt engine must undergo a proper bedding-in process to ensure reliable performance, reduced oil consumption, and long-term durability.
